Maggie Creshkoff uses a kickwheel to make pottery from local Maryland clay.

Each pot is brushed with cobalt slip to form the traditional blue design; each is glazed and single fired; each piece is unique.

Celebrate weddings, anniversaries, retirements, births, deaths and leavetakings of all sorts with a piece of custom lettered pottery.

Rusty Angels

Chaos and change, transition and time. The moments that mark our lives pass swiftly, and are often overlooked in the heat of the moment, the rush of the day….

The Rusty Angel series is a marriage of materials: rusty metal and native clays, both exposed to wind, water and fire. They serve as reminders for those unregarded moments, icons for the everyday, mute parables for the beauty and sorrow of the decay that inevitably comes to us all.

Muddy Maggie's Menagerie

Sugar pigs, piggy banks, penguins, bottom feeders and turtle banks... evolution is never-ending (though some would question the intelligence of the design) as it rises from the moist and magnificent mud at the Backlog Pottery.
